Harry Asmar serves as Deputy Chairman for Mining Governance, Environment and CSR, Technology and Electricity. He has an outstanding professional working experience in mining industry for almost 30 years. He joined in PT Kaltim Prima Coal, a leading coal company in Indonesia operating in East Kalimantan, in 1987. He got a lot of technical responsibilities during his professional working time in PT Kaltim Prima Coal, for instance as Manager Safety and Occupational Health in 1999, followed by his responsibility as Mine Manager and Deputy Technical Head a year after. He also has experience not only in coal mining industry, but also in mineral mining industry, especially in nickel. He’s worked in PT INCO Tbk., a prominent nickel company in Indonesia, for almost 9 years. He was assigned as COO and Deputy Technical Head who is responsible to the all company operation activities in PT INCO Tbk., such as project plant, support, development and mining. For now, he currently works as a commisioner for some of mining companies in Indonesia as well as The President Director of PT Indobagus. Harry also assigns as an advisor in PLN Satuan Batubara, a state owned enterprise engaged in power generation, until now.
Harry Asmar received bachelor degree in mining engineering from Mining Engineering Department ITB, Bandung and diploma degree in industrial engineering from Pasundan University. He continued his academic achievement by acquiring his master degree in Human Resources Management from IMMI, Jakarta.
