Jakarta, APBI-ICMA: Detik.com January 24, 2019 reported that the Government would relax export regulations for a number of commodities. This step was taken to encourage exports.
Minister of Trade Enggartiasto Lukita said that commodities would be boosted such as coal and oil palm.
"Basically, we make facilities. Everything that can be simplified is simplified, for example minerals, coal, then oil palm," said Enggar after a coordination meeting at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Central Jakarta, Thursday (1/24/2019).
The procedure that will be relaxed, he said, is related to the provisions of the surveyor report (LS). These provisions will be removed so as not to cause duplication of checks.
"Yes, why should I check it, there is a duplicate. There, it is examined, it is examined here," he said.
"Yes, there is Customs duty also checked," he continued.
Enggar continued, in the near future he would revise the rules regarding the provisions of the LS. The regulation, said Enggar, was revised in the next week.
Regarding the potential of exports, Enggar cannot yet provide a more detailed explanation. What is clear, this concession is to boost exports.
"We talk about ease, acceleration, reducing various unnecessary costs," he continued.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Perry Warjiyo who was also present, was economical to talk about the results of the meeting.
