Jakarta, APBI-ICMA: CNBC Indonesia February 6, 2019 reported that the government has ratified the 2019 Plan and Cost Budget. It is recorded that coal production in 2019 is targeted at 490 million tons. Up from 2018 RKAB which only pegged 485 million tons. Previously, coal production this year was estimated at 479.8 million tons.
Director General of Mineral and Coal Bambang Gatot said, 490 million tons 380 million came from PKP2B (Coal Mining Work Agreement) and around 100 million came from regional IUPs.
"So the production is approximately 490 million tons," Bambang said, in Jakarta, Wednesday (02/06/2019).
Meanwhile, the realization of coal production over the past year reached 528 million tons. This figure is above the 2018 RKAB which only pegged 485 million tons.
As for the domestic market obligation (DMO) allocation, it was previously estimated that the domestic market obligation (DMO) supply for coal this year would be 128 million tons.
"DMO is based on business units, for 95.7 million tons of PLTU. That's for DMO," said ESDM Ministry Director General of Mineral and Coal Bambang Gatot Ariyono at the Parliament Building, Jakarta, Thursday (01/10/2018).
The DMO allocation was taken from the national coal production target this year which amounted to 479.8 million tons. This figure is lower than the target in 2018 which recorded 485 million tons.
Furthermore, Bambang explained, the coal production plan came from various types of coal mining permit holders. The details, from the mine that the company worked on were the Coal Mining Company Agreement (PKP2B), the Special Mining Business License (IUPK), the State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN), the foreign investment IUP of 379.8 million tons.
